Our Mission To provide a voice and connection for women employees of the corporation to:
- Share learning and ideas through programs and activities
- Provide a forum for discussion of issues and concerns
- Serve as a resource to senior management
- Help create a culture of inclusion for all employees
Objectives
- To promote the career advancement and/or fulfillment of women at all levels.
- Achieve an open, inclusive work environment conducive to teamwork for both men and women at all levels.
- Offer a vehicle for personal growth and development of women outside of work.
The Lunch Connection Series began in January 2007 and continues to date.
Objective: To create a forum series that provides networking among members especially with senior management.
Goals
- Provide a unique social atmosphere that supports Sara Lee’s values
- Generate two-way communication and information sharing to enhance employees’ careers and work environment
- Demonstrate the connection of effective networking and exposure to successful support towards retention and career development
Lunch Connections involves senior-level Sara Lee leaders working with a small group of Sara Lee Women’s Network members. These employees meet for lunch every 4-6 weeks to discuss topics which are strategically aligned with the needs and interests of Sara Lee employees.
