Virgis W. Colbert - Retired executive vice president, Miller Brewing Company, director since 2006
Virgis W. Colbert is retired executive vice president of worldwide operations of Miller Brewing Company and senior advisor to MillerCoors Brewing Company (formally Miller Brewing Company). He was elected to the board of directors of Sara Lee Corporation in 2006 and serves on the Compensation and Employee Benefits Committee and Finance Committee.
During his 26-year career at Miller, he held various positions of increasing responsibility that include senior vice president of worldwide operations, senior vice president of operations and vice president of plant operations. He was appointed to his last position in July 1997 and retired in December 2005.
He currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Stanley Black & Decker, Lorillard, Inc., Bank of America Corporation and The Manitowoc Company, Inc.
Colbert earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Central Michigan University.
